I have struggle with staying away from drinking an drugging addiction. I know that when I don’t use, my mind is so much brighter and clearer. Being present and alive and not numbed out is great, but I don’t understand why I can’t maintain it. I see all the benefits of sobriety but fall back into old patterns. Its tough

Hi my name is Clyde I am a addict. I just graduated from 28 day rehab program and I need and want to have a support system set up. Because I know how easy it is to get caught back up in drugs. Been there and done that and it’s time for a change. Thanks!

Hi Alison. Addiction is… Well… Cunning, baffling and powerful. We do things that we would NEVER normally do. The only thing that matters is the next drunk or drug. But you’re not alone. And you never have to have another drink or another drug ever again. “Rarely have we seen a person fail who has thoroughly followed our path.” Stick with it.…[Read more]

Ā I was so upset and out of control that duri…[Read more]

I’m having a difficult time with 18 months meeting people my age who don’t drink nor use. It’s a lonely feeling. Any advice?

Hi Katie!! I’ve struggled with the same thing, but it’s become easier as time has passed. I’ve had several conversations with my partner explaining how I need his support, etc. Yours will come around!! Just make him understand how you can’t NOT communicate with friends about this stuff. Tell him you’ve come so far and refuse to give up.
