Women in Recovery Group 7 years, 3 months agoHi all, I had 24 year and 10 months clean and sober…and 1 year and 8 months ago I decided that I could go to a concert and have A beer. Did ok for a few months and then it happened…one shot lead to about half the bottle or more. I don’t like myself and I’m having a hard time forgiving myself for going back. Still drinking, but been sober 2 days.

Welcome Brittany! Our meetings are held in the chatroom, and we have at least four every day. The women’s meeting is at noon (est) on Mondays. Please start coming to our chats in the chatroom and I think it will be really helpful, especially when you are alone. You will not feel so alone when you are in the chatroom, and we have meetings four times a day. Keep the faith. Keep the plug in the jug, and keep coming back to AA. It really does work. You are not alone here.

I had been five days sober until today.
I had a beer and then changed over to a Diet Coke. I feel crappy. I was doing so well.

Betsy we don’t mind discussing any issue that is relevant for alcoholics, and that is certainly in that category. My husband just had surgery a week or so ago and is dealing with that issue.
