Women in Recovery 7 years, 6 months agoI am interested in your thoughts. The Big Book was written long ago, and pretty much was written to men alcoholics. Does anyone else here notice or get bothered by that? Does anyone yearn for more gender-neutral pronouns, for example? Or am I the only one?

Women in Recovery 7 years, 6 months agoHi everyone, not sure how this online stuff works but am just looking for support right now. Today is 5 days sober. Recovery is not a new word to me as I have been trying to drink for the past 10 years on and off with months of sobriety at a time. I’m really hoping that this time is different but know I can’t do it alone.

There is a women’s meeting in the chatroom on Mondays at noon. All the meetings on this site are in the chatroom. Just go up to the top “meetings” tab and go down to chat room and you’ll be there! The schedule is posted up and to the right of this message box, above “pass the can.” I look forward to seeing you at a meeting soon!
