Wow. I never knew about CPTSD. Amazing. I relate to it. I too was diagnosed borderline although that was later replaced with bipolar 1. Mental health roulette I guess.

Alcohol Recovery Group 8 years, 8 months agoYes Jess your 100% right. There’s nothing that will ensure peaceful sobriety as much as helping out another drunk. Or any other goodwill effort towards the world that you may encounter. As in my case it’s my elderly family and my dog.

Men in Recovery 8 years, 9 months agoI thought this would be a good topic because it wasn’t until I understood the reason why I was a chronic relapser that i was able to identify and come to terms with the defects that were hidden but killing me from the inside out. I also came to believe in the spirit.

Women in Recovery 8 years, 10 months agoI’ve been doing alot of research on codependency. What I’m figuring out sober is that I was drinking so many codependent behaviors away. Or I was attempting to. Now sober I realize this is something I need to face in order to stay sober.
