Narcotics Recovery Group 8 years, 11 months agoim haveing trouble dealing with the fact that my significant other doesnt like the whole meeting thing and i feal like hes mocking me when i talk about it. it stinks because its something i feal verry strongly about and he brings alot of negativitie and mockery to the subject any thoughts?

Hi Katie!! I’ve struggled with the same thing, but it’s become easier as time has passed. I’ve had several conversations with my partner explaining how I need his support, etc. Yours will come around!! Just make him understand how you can’t NOT communicate with friends about this stuff. Tell him you’ve come so far and refuse to give up.

Narcotics Recovery Group 8 years, 11 months agohi my names katie i have been clean and sober for 14 months and i am new to the online meating thing i can only make it to the meatings in my town on the weekends i work during to week. my councilor told me about this online meating thing thought i would check it out say hey hows every ones day!

Hi I am Clyde an addict. I have the same problem and of course I also need a ride to go. Due to not having a license from the fall out of my addiction. So I joined this and other online groups. My day has been depressing just feeling down I guess. I should be in a local AA meeting but didn’t have a ride. So how are you doing?
